According to Spot On Chain, the government of El Salvador has significantly increased its bitcoin purchases since December 22, 2024, and currently holds an average of about 1.6 BTC per day. Since then, the country has purchased a total of 93.417 BTC at an average price of $98,579, with daily purchases ranging from 1 to 11 BTC.
As of now, the total amount of bitcoin held in El Salvador is 6,081 BTC, with a market cap of about $579.90 million.
