Chinese and US consular departments hold counterpart talks

On April 18th, on April 16th, Wu Demin, Deputy Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Kerwin, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Consular Bureau of the US State Department, held counterpart talks between the Chinese and US consular departments in Beijing. The two sides conferred in depth on promoting Sino-US people-to-people and cultural exchanges and safeguarding the safety and legitimate rights and interests of overseas citizens. The Chinese side urges the US side to adjust the travel reminder level of the US State Department to China as soon as possible, and stop unprovoked nuisance and investigation of Chinese repatriated to the US.
