According to Trader T, 1,041 institutions reported holding BlackRock Spot, the Bitcoin ETF IBIT, in the fourth quarter of 2024, a 55% increase from 672 in the third quarter of 2024.
In addition, institutions doubled their bitcoin holdings in the fourth quarter to 166,000 bitcoins, correspondingly, 30% of the shares were held by reporting institutions, compared to 19% (+ 58%) in the third quarter.
