Andre Dragosch, head of European research at Bitwise, said bitcoin and gold are gaining market attention in the context of a macroeconomic environment that hints at a possible shift in the dominance of the U.S. dollar.
China and Japan, the largest foreign holders of US debt, are reducing their holdings of Treasuries, raising concerns about long-term demand for US government bonds. Dragosch revealed that foreign central banks have asked Bitwise US about the possibility of shifting some of their Treasury investments to spot bitcoin ETFs, and the Czech National Bank is also considering a similar move.
