On April 18th, game studio Faraway announced the acquisition of Yuga Labs' two major game IP "HV-MTL" and "Legendsofthe Mara" on the X platform. The acquisition is part of Faraway's strategy to build an interoperable game ecosystem. It will also introduce new points systems and more integrations in these two games to further enhance the IP.
In November 2021, Faraway completed a $21 million Series A financing round led by FTX and Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from a16z, Solana, Jump Capital, Sequoia Capital, and Pantera Capital.
