U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase reported fourth-quarter and full-year earnings on Thursday afternoon, with several indicators beating analysts' expectations.
The company posted full-year 2024 revenue of $6.60 billion, more than double the 2023 total of $3.10 billion. Net income was $2.60 billion and adjusted EBITDA was $3.30 billion.
Fourth quarter 2024 revenue was $2.27 billion, compared to $1.84 billion and $1.26 billion expected three months ago. Fourth quarter trading revenue increased 172% sequentially to $1.60 billion, a significant increase from $529 million in the same period last year.
Coinbase ended the fourth quarter with a dollar asset value of $9.30 billion, up from $8.20 billion in the previous quarter. Coinbase reported its stablecoin revenue of $226 million, down slightly from $247 million in the previous quarter.
