Coinbase正在与印度金融情报单位（FIU）接洽，计划在暂停运营一年多后重新进入印度市场。此前，Binance已于2024年8月通过FIU注册后恢复在印度的运营，为海外加密交易所合规进入印度市场提供了先例。
Coinbase曾于2022年短暂推出印度业务，但因印度国家支付公司（NPCI）拒绝承认其UPI支付支持，导致服务在三天内暂停。Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong曾透露，该公司受到了印度央行的“非正式压力”。
Coinbase发言人表示，公司对印度市场充满期待，并计划遵守所有监管要求。不过，由于印度政府对加密资产交易实施30%所得税和1%交易扣税，该市场的增长仍面临挑战。
