On February 11, Hayden Adams, CEO of Uniswap Labs, posted on the X platform that Unichain is an L2 designed for DeFi, and in the coming months and years, more new improvements will be introduced to accelerate the expansion of the Unichain blockchain, including:
Flashblocks - a block builder in partnership with Flashbots that reduces block time from 1 second to 0.25 seconds, allows most MEVs to be returned to the user, and provides additional transparency and decentralization for transaction ordering/sorting.
Seamless interoperability - By partnering with Optimism, the goal is to make Unichain a pioneer in the development of interoperable L2.
The Unichain Authentication Network, which plans to continue to push L2 decentralization through UVN, will add an extra layer of economic security and validation on top of sequencers through staking.
