Gemini receives approval in principle for Malta Investment Company license

Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has received approval in principle for an investment company license from the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA). The license will allow Gemini to provide regulated futures and options trading services to senior traders and institutions in the European Union and the European Economic Area under the framework of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II).
