Kraken has announced that it will launch a self-hosted crypto wallet

Crypto exchange Kraken has announced that it will release its self-hosted crypto wallet, which will be available to both Kraken users and non-users. The wallet will initially support eight blockchains, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Optimism, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon, and Dogecoin. The Kraken wallet is open-source and developers can access and contribute code. Kraken will also pay developers who discover vulnerabilities through an open-source funding program so they can improve the wallet in the event of a bug. Kraken said the wallet will collect "the absolute minimum amount of data as a function of the wallet," in line with privacy principles that many cryptocurrency users value.
