Crypto miner Core Scientific has announced plans to expand its bitcoin mining campus in Denton, Texas by an additional 72 MW. The company said this new phase of the Denton data center marks the beginning of a comprehensive, multi-year effort to complete its partially built infrastructure and increase its capacity to 372 trillion watts.
Denton's data center currently has 125 trillion watts of bitcoin mining power, with a total contracted power of about 300 trillion watts. Additionally, its Pecos, Texas, data center operates 71 trillion watts of bitcoin mining at two locations, with a total contracted power capacity of 250 trillion watts.
