On April 17, Lido said that its SimpleDVT module has been deployed on the mainnet. This simple DVT module (sDVTm) is the second mainnet Lido protocol module that leverages the established design of the Curated Operator Module and DVT solution provided by Obol and SSV Network to provide opportunities for solo and community stakers to participate in running validators using the Lido protocol.
According to the original proposal, the module was initially capped at 0.5% of Lido's total pledge (which could be increased by DAO voting), and was expected to allow 250 net new node operators to be added to the protocol.
In addition, to encourage node operators to participate and support DVT providers, simple DVT modules charge a 2% treasury fee and 8% module fee, which are shared between node operators and DVT providers. The LidoDAO contributor team is also developing a Community Staking Module (CSM).
