On January 30, crypto trading platform Kraken said on Thursday that customers in 39 eligible states will be able to participate in staking using KrakenPro, where tokens will be locked for a period of time, depending on the relevant blockchain. Currently, users can pledge 17 assets, including ETH, SOL, DOT, and ADA.
In March 2023, Kraken agreed to terminate its pledge-as-a-service platform for U.S. customers and pay $30 million to settle Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) allegations that it provided unregistered securities.
