The IMF has raised its forecast for global economic growth this year to 3.2%.

On April 16, at 9:00 am Eastern Time (21:00 Beijing time on the 16th), the international monetary fund (IMF) released the latest "World Economic Outlook Report". In the report, the IMF forecasts that the global economy will grow by 3.2% in 2024, an increase of 0.1 percentage point from the forecast in January this year; the overall global inflation rate in 2024 is expected to fall from 6.8% in 2023 to 5.9%. The report also forecasts that the global economy will grow by 3.2% in 2025. The report pointed out that geopolitical tensions and persistent core inflationary pressures remain the main risks facing the global economy.
