On April 16, Sheng Laiyun, deputy director of the National Bureau of Statistics, said at the press conference that the fifth national economic census is a large-scale survey of national conditions and national strength carried out since China entered a new era. Under the strong leadership of party committees and governments at all levels, and with the joint efforts of the vast number of census personnel and statisticians, the fifth economic census is now progressing very smoothly. We have now basically completed the on-site registration survey, and the data reporting rate has exceeded 90%. Therefore, in terms of the overall work arrangement, we are now moving from the on-site registration stage to the data review stage. After the data review is completed, we must conduct spot checks on data quality and summarize the data. Probably in the third quarter, we will release the results of the fifth economic census to the whole society, so that everyone can have a clearer and more comprehensive understanding of our country's economic background.
