1月17日消息，据Thehindu Businessline报道，加密交易所WazirX在遭受网络攻击六个月后，宣布冻结第一批被盗资产，价值约300万美元。这意味着调查机构已经确定了被盗资金，让受害者距离追回资产又近了一步。此前去年7月18日，WazirX遭受网络攻击，导致超过2.3亿美元的数字资产被盗。1月14日，美国、韩国和日本发表联合声明，将盗窃归咎于朝鲜黑客。
负责WazirX重组的Kroll董事总经理兼全球重组业务联席主管Jason Kardachi表示，“通过链上取证工作和针对参与黑客攻击及随后的资产流失的第三方的法律途径，公司已做好充分准备，最大限度地追回被盗资产，使计划下的债权人受益。”
