Previously, it was reported that the Trump team is reviewing some of the pending crypto enforcement cases of the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC), which is expected to overhaul crypto policy and possibly freeze some lawsuits that do not involve fraud allegations. According to Bloomberg, relevant officials are still discussing whether to include a directive to require all government entities to review policies on digital assets and possibly suspend any lawsuits involving cryptocurrencies. Halting legal actions against companies ranging from Binance Holdings Ltd., the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, to startup Ripple Labs Inc., is a top priority for the industry.
However, people familiar with the matter cautioned that the executive order, which could be issued as early as next Monday, has not been finalized and could be revised before it is made public. So far, Trump's representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
