CoinGecko 2024 Annual Report: Total Crypto Market Cap Hits a Record High of $3.91 trillion

CoinGecko has released its Cryptocurrency Industry Report for 2024. The report shows that the total crypto market capitalization grew by 45.7% in the fourth quarter of 2024, reaching an all-time high of $3.91 trillion in mid-December. Bitcoin dominance continues to strengthen, currently accounting for 53.6% of the total cryptocurrency market capitalization, and broke through the $100,000 mark for the first time on December 9, setting an all-time high of $108,135. Notably, Solana surpassed Ethereum to become the dominant public chain for decentralized exchange (DEX) trading in the fourth quarter of 2024, with a market share of over 30%.
