On January 15, the Chinese side took note of the announcement issued by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to further tighten export controls on some semiconductor manufacturing equipment and software, and expressed its high concern to the Dutch side in this regard. The semiconductor industry is a highly globalized field. Recently, some countries have repeatedly generalized the concept of national security and abused export controls, seriously threatening the stability of the global semiconductor supply chain. China firmly opposes this. China hopes that the Netherlands, as a member of the WTO, will proceed from upholding international economic and trade rules and the overall situation of China-Netherlands economic and trade cooperation, respect market principles and the spirit of contract, and earnestly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises from all countries, including Chinese and Dutch enterprises, and maintain the stability of the global semiconductor supply chain.
