An employee of a Russian diamond mining company has been jailed for sending cryptocurrency "to provide financial assistance to terrorist groups in Ukraine."
The man, a male resident of Yakutia's Mirninsky district, was arrested by the Sakha branch of Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB). The FSB said the man "used cryptocurrencies on several occasions to transfer funds to Ukrainian militants", which the group used to "conduct reconnaissance and subversive activities against the security of the Russian Federation".
