China's artificial sun welcomes another major breakthrough, with the "Scarlet Sky Light Sword"

On January 14th, the reporter learned from the Hefei Institute of Physical Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences that the big scientific team of the academy has successfully developed the strong current linear plasma device "Chixiao", which is like a "laser sword" with super performance, providing a scientific and technological weapon for the development of the core material of the "artificial sun". On January 14th, the expert group identified that the parameters of "Chixiao" reached the design target, making our country the second country in the world to have such a device after the Netherlands. The birth of "Chixiao" will provide strong support for the research of the next generation of "artificial sun" China's fusion engineering experimental reactor. The "Chixiao" device will not only serve scientists in our country, but also carry out open and shared international cooperative research.
