Chainalysis paid more than $100 million for AI agency security startup Alterya at an undisclosed valuation. Two people familiar with the deal put the total value at about $150 million. Alterya is a graduate of Y Combinator, a prominent Silicon Valley incubator that develops artificial intelligence technology that uses proxies to detect and prevent scams targeting Financial Institution Group, fintech and crypto service providers.
