On January 13, according to i24NEWS, Hamas sources said that the three mediators, the United States, Qatar and Egypt, are expected to announce a major breakthrough and even a framework on the Gaza ceasefire agreement in the next few hours. They agreed unanimously to allow the Israeli army to maintain a buffer zone of 500-700 meters at 6 sites around the Gaza Strip, including the Philadelphia corridor. The seventh site is located in Juhor ad-Dik in the central Gaza Strip, with a width of 1 kilometer. Israel will allow all displaced Gazans to return to their homes, which includes northern Gaza. The Rafah crossing will be reopened on the 7th day after the agreement comes into force in order to allow serious humanitarian cases to leave the country for treatment through the coordination of Israel and Egypt. Regarding the release of hostages and the exchange of Palestinian prisoners, for every "humanitarian hostage" (woman, elderly, and sick) released, 30 Palestinian prisoners will be released.
