On January 12, according to mempool data, miners mined a half-empty block at the height of 878889 Bitcoin, only 87 seconds away from the previous block height.
Mempool founder @mononautical posted on this, saying that all transactions in this unpopulated f2pool block were broadcast in the previous minute or so, indicating that the block maker node (restarted) without the mempool.dat file, or had not started loading it at the time the template was requested.
The last time a similar incident occurred was at block height 855,363, approximately five months ago.
