Ian McGinley, director of enforcement at the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), announced his departure on January 17. He joined the agency in February 2023 and has led enforcement actions against Binance, KuCoin, Falcon Labs and others.
In a statement announcing his departure on January 17, Ian McGinley said "making the CFTC the premier enforcement agency for digital asset enforcement" was a top priority of his tenure.
