Michael Brown, senior research strategist at Pepperstone, said: "I think the non-farm payrolls report will only encourage the dollar to continue to rise, which has been the market's preference for some time, which certainly helps to reinforce the theme of" American exceptionalism "and should keep the Federal Reserve relatively hawkish compared to other G10 members."
The biggest risk to the bullish dollar view is that market participants may seek profit-taking/deleveraged ahead of Trump's inauguration early next week.
