Analysts at Citi said the new policy support would help solidify the legitimacy of counterfeit products in the market and could push up their prices. "Bitcoin is classified as a commodity and there are already'traditional financial 'trading instruments such as spot ETFs and futures. By contrast, other crypto assets have a more uncertain definition and a more limited range of investment options."
The analyst added that further policy support would provide a huge boost to counterfeit products compared to Bitcoin.
