The three major U.S. stock indexes closed mixed, with the Nasdaq down 0.06%, the S & P 500 up 0.16%, and the Dow up 0.25%. Chip stocks were lower, AMD fell more than 4%, Micron Technology and TSMC fell more than 2%. Gold stocks rose, with Jinros Gold and Aegis Gold up more than 4%.
