IRS criminal investigation chief: Crypto tax evasion expected to rise this year

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) says the agency is bracing itself for a significant increase in crypto tax crimes in the future as the April 15 tax filing deadline for U.S. citizens approaches. Guy Ficco, head of criminal investigations at the IRS, said the IRS is bracing itself for the ensuing increase in tax fraud and tax evasion cases.
