At 6:14 local time on the 3rd, South Korea's senior government officials set out to execute the arrest warrant for suspended President Yoon Seok-hyuk. On December 31, 2024, the Western District Court of Seoul, South Korea, issued an arrest warrant for suspended President Yoon Seok-hyuk on suspicion of starting civil unrest and abusing power. This is the first time in South Korea's constitutional history that an arrest warrant has been issued for a sitting president. The arrest warrant is valid until January 6.
