香港财经事务及库务局长许正宇在其网上专栏《财库论》撰文指出，香港已新增虚拟资产等作为合资格资产类别，目前有超过1100家金融科技公司，年增长15%，香港会持续推动央行数码货币、移动支付、数字银行、虚拟资产交易等的科技应用，并促进香港稳定币以至Web3生态圈健康、负责任和可持续发展。展望2025年，香港将继续促进金融科技、虚拟资产及Web3生态圈的健康发展。
