Hack VC expects to see more large-scale acquisitions in 2025, as web2 companies interested in cryptocurrencies may return due to the ongoing bull market. Ed Roman, co-founder and managing partner of Hack VC, said: "These Web2 buyers have been inactive for the past few years due to the NFT crash and the FTX crash, but we expect them to return as cryptocurrencies enter peak season again, and since these companies often lack crypto expertise or technology, it is easier to acquire some companies than to develop them yourself."
