Do Kwon is facing a double indictment in New York and Seoul for $40 billion in losses caused by the TerraUSD stablecoin crash in 2022. He was previously arrested in Montenegro for using a forged passport. In April, Terraform Labs and Do Kwon were found guilty of fraud in a civil lawsuit alleged by the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC), and Terraform has agreed to pay a $4.50 billion settlement.
