The Malaysian Securities Commission has ordered Bybit to shut down its local operations

On December 30, according to a report by Crowdfund Insider, the Malaysian Securities Commission has asked Bybit to shut down its website, mobile app or any other digital app platform accessible within Malaysia within 14 working days from December 11, 2024, immediately stop advertising targeted at Malaysian investors, and terminate its Telegram support group for Malaysians.
In a statement, the Malaysian Securities Commission stressed that Malaysia's regulations are designed to protect investors and maintain market integrity, and warned that unauthorized platforms pose fraud and security risks.
