Sberbank, TBank, Tochka Bank join digital ruble pilot

Sberbank, TBank, and Tochka Bank have become participants in a pilot program for transactions using the digital ruble, after a total of 12 Financial Institution Groups participated in the pilot: Alfa-Bank, DOM. RF Bank, Ingosstrakh Bank, VTB, Gazprombank, Ak Bars Bank, MTS Bank, Promsvyazbank, Sovcombank, Sinara Bank, TKB Bank, and Agricultural Bank of China, who have signed an agreement with the Russian Central Bank and are configuring systems to participate in the project. It is reported that the widespread use of the digital ruble is expected to start gradually from July 1, 2025.
