According to PitchBook analyst Robert Le, venture capital funding in the crypto industry could exceed $18 billion in 2025, with multiple quarterly investments of $5 billion.
Crypto VCs totaled around $9 billion in 2023 and are expected to reach $11 billion in 2024, with quarterly average investments of around $2 billion to $2.50 billion. Despite a slowdown in investment activity this summer, there has been a post-election pick-up, and generic VCs are expected to refocus on the crypto space next year.
Le also pointed out that the investment theme of "crypto and artificial intelligence (AI) " will continue to heat up, and crypto technology may provide innovative solutions to some core problems or become a new growth point in the process of AI expansion.
