On December 27th, the Ministry of Commerce ruled that if the anti-dumping measures are terminated, the dumping of imports of n-butanol originating in Taiwan, Malaysia and the United States on the Chinese mainland may continue or recur, and the damage caused to the n-butanol industry in the Chinese mainland may continue or recur. According to Article 50 of the Anti-Dumping Regulations, the Ministry of Commerce made a recommendation to the Tariff Commission of the State Council to continue to implement anti-dumping measures based on the investigation results. The Tariff Commission of the State Council made a decision based on the recommendation of the Ministry of Commerce. From December 29, 2024, the import of n-butanol originating in Taiwan, Malaysia and the United States will continue to be subject to anti-dumping duties, and the implementation period will be 5 years.
