Robert Le, crypto analyst at Pitchbook, said the agency forecasts a resurgence in venture capital investment in the crypto space in 2025, with total investment of more than $18 billion for the year and $5 billion for multiple quarters. In comparison, the average annual investment size in 2023-2024 is "only" $9.90 billion, with an average investment of $2.50 billion per quarter.
In addition, Mike Giampapa, general partner at Galaxy Ventures, expects fewer enforcement actions by the Securities Exchange Commission next year, U.S. banks will become more open to participating in cryptocurrencies, stablecoins will continue to expand from savings and payments to consumer use cases, and merchant acquirers and credit card networks will increasingly support crypto payments at checkout.
