According to a report by cryptocurrency research firm Kairos Research, Jito earned more than $100 million a month in priority fees and tips in November and December.
In 2024, Jito's validators' monthly tip income grew an average of 32 percent, Kairos said. Monthly income peaked at about $210 million in November.
The growth in Jito's tipping revenue reflects the growing popularity of the Solana network, but also highlights the trend for validators to increase their revenue by prioritizing certain transactions, a practice known as maximum extractable value (MEV).
