Earlier, @ysiu, the official X account of Animoca Brands co-founder Yat Siu, was compromised by unauthorized access despite having two-factor authentication (2FA) set up, Mocaverse said on the X platform. Criminals used the account to post misinformation and links about a counterfeit SOLANA token. It has been confirmed that the X platform has regained control of the @ysiu account and is currently verifying the true ownership of the account. Evidence suggests that this may have been an identity theft incident as standard security measures (such as two-factor authentication) have been implemented on the account. Stronger security schemes are being considered and implemented. No official Animoca Brands, Moca Network, or MOCA Foundation accounts have been compromised and strict security measures have been taken. All key members and official accounts have updated all authentications as a security measure. No other vulnerabilities or unauthorized activity have been identified.
