In its Enterprise Technology Outlook 2025 report, venture capital database Pitchbook predicts that venture capital firms will double their investments in cryptocurrencies next year to more than $18 billion, nearly double the $9.90 billion invested in 2024. Analysts at Pitchbook said that crypto-focused VCs will be strengthened with the return of integrated VCs to the blockchain and cryptocurrency space, as well as the participation of large Financial Institution Groups; while the $18 billion investment is "well below the $24.70 billion in 2021 and $29.80 billion in 2022, it is expected that the participation of major traditional Financial Institution Groups such as BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, and Goldman Sachs will continue to strengthen investor confidence in the cryptocurrency market.
