Crypto payment platform MoonPay has announced that it has received a Money Transmitter License from the Texas Department of Banking. From now on, Texas users can buy 64 cryptocurrencies through Venmo and PayPal. According to statistics, more than one-fifth of Texas's voting-age population owns cryptocurrencies.
MoonPay plans to expand its service in 2025 to allow Texas residents to sell cryptocurrencies including BTC, ETH and SOL. Currently, MoonPay has obtained money transfer licenses in 45 states in the United States.
