据《华盛顿邮报》披露，此前向微软和亚马逊提出将比特币纳入财务储备的美国保守派智库国家公共政策研究中心（National Center for Public Policy Research）正计划采取更广泛的行动，目前正在与另一家大公司就比特币财务储备提案进行谈判，但NCPPR暂未透露这家公司的名称。截至目前，微软股东已经投票拒绝对比特币进行投资，但亚马逊是否会采取更具创新性的策略仍未确定。
