Schiff 于 X 发文表示，通过创建“美国币（USA Coin）”而不是战略比特币储备，美国可以节省大量资金。与比特币一样，美国币的供应上限为 2100 万。他补充说，该币应该通过升级后的区块链运行，以使其真正可用于支付。
Schiff 是比特币怀疑论者，曾多次明确表示，他反对战略比特币储备的想法。
此前消息，Peter Schiff 表示，拜登在卸任美国总统前能做的一件好事就是出售美国政府目前持有的全部比特币，筹集的资金不仅可以减少 2024 年的预算赤字，还可以终结所有关于“战略比特币储备”的胡言乱语，他补充说“拜登可以在特朗普上任前把所有东西都卖掉，这样特朗普就不必违背竞选承诺了。”
