On December 19, the Indian crypto exchange WazirX released an "update on illiquid wallet assets and stolen assets" on the X platform. WazirX wrote: "Recovery of illiquid wallet assets and stolen assets remains a top priority, and the team is actively exploring all possible avenues. For stolen assets, Kroll has been hired to lead the forensic assessment, enhance platform security, and plan recovery strategies, including: ① tracking and freezing USDT balances with the support of law enforcement; ② commissioning the preparation of a first phase report to assess recovery potential; ③ possible litigation against parties involved in cyber attacks and the dispersion of stolen assets. To ensure full transparency, under an effective scheme, a recovery report will be shared every 4 months to update scheme creditors."
Previously, WazirX announced an asset rebalancing and distribution plan approved by creditors and approved by the court.
WazirX will issue recovery tokens RT to distribute subsequent recovery amounts
