Safe-haven buying drives the yen higher

On April 12, the agency analysis said: Earlier, the exchange rate of the yen against the dollar has been at the level of 153, but in the past half hour or so, the exchange rate of the yen against the dollar has recovered. The dollar hit an intraday low of 152.6 against the yen.
