On December 12, Lamina1, a meta-universe project founded by Avalanche author Neal Stephenson, announced on Wednesday that it will merge with Another World. Another World is a Korean meta-universe project that was originally established on the Kaia blockchain in 2022 and will become part of the Lamina1 ecosystem.
Open Metaverse Limited, Lamina1's parent company, acquired Another World in an "all-token transaction", according to a statement. Lamina1 said it planned to "migrate Another World's community of over 500,000 token holders, investors, metauniverse builders, developers and enthusiasts to the L1 ecosystem through token exchanges and targeted introductions aimed at activating the community" in the coming weeks.
