This afternoon local time (December 10), the South Korean National Assembly voted 210 votes in favor, 63 votes against, and 14 abstentions to pass the "Permanent Special Prosecution Law", which will investigate the crime of civil unrest and disruption of constitutional government involved in the late-night "emergency martial law" launched by South Korean President Yoon Seok-hyuk. The investigation targets include South Korean President Yoon Seok-hyuk, former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun and other key "emergency martial law" personnel. South Korea's ruling party said today (December 10) that it will push President Yoon Seok-hyuk to step down early next year and call an early general election, but the South Korean opposition party said it will spare no effort to push for the early impeachment of Yoon Seok-hyuk to step down.
