菲律宾央行（BSP）近日表示，已与其他金融机构一起完成了其 Agila 项目批发央行数字货币（wCBDC）的概念验证试验。具体来说，最新的试验测试了菲律宾的银行是否可以在晚上、周末和节假日等银行营业时间之外相互付款。
BSP 行长 Eli M.Remolona，Jr.表示：“批发 CBDC 有望加强流动性管理，降低结算风险并支持金融稳定。该项目的见解将指导 BSP 的 CBDC 路线图。我们的目标是利用新技术进一步提高国家支付系统的效率和弹性。”
