In a social media post, Ripple said: "Despite some speculation, RLUSD will not be launching today. Final approval is ongoing in sync with the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) and will share updates as soon as possible. The team is fully committed to launching products under NYDFS oversight and upholding the highest regulatory standards."
Fox Business Correspondent Eleanor Terrett said that two sources close to the program said today was originally the expected release date, but some last-minute developments caused the delay.
Previously, it was reported that Ripple is about to receive approval from the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) to issue a stablecoin, RLUSD, which is expected to be officially launched on December 4, 2024.
